I’m not making any new New Year resolutions this year. Nope, I’m not doing it. Yes, there will be some new and different things that will arise in my life. Yes, there are some goals that I would like to reach. Will I work to rid myself of bad and unproductive habits? Yes. But I don’t feel like wiping the slate clean for the New Year. I have some unfinished business from 2016. Let’s be honest, I probably have some unfinished business from 2011. And frankly, I am sick of carrying incomplete goals into each year, only to vow to make new things happen the next. A resolution: a firm decision to do or not to do something, the solution to, answer to, end to, settlement, or a conclusion to something. Taking these definitions into account, I can’t even lie and say that I was successful with my resolutions from 2016. So if anything, I need to finish what I started this year. Follow through. Continue growing spiritually and shaping up physically. Work toward my financial and career goals. Love more and be dedicated those who are dedicated to me. Get married, and stay that way, lol. Stay consistent even when life throws curve balls my way.
Now to those who have decided to set some new goals and resolutions, I’m definitely cheering you on. Keep your word to yourself, and I am sure you will find much success this year. Here’s to the New Year! I’ll be sure to check in on you guys to see how things are shaping up. Until then…
Truly Yours,
Garesia

Thanks so much!
I always fail at New Year Resolutions, so I don’t bother lol but I am inspired to get into healthier habits because of these!
Do it honey. We are our biggest enemies. Stop breaking promises to yourself and you will see such a huge change.
