Here is my progress from October 22nd to December 31st to February 2nd. I still have some work to do, but I am not giving up!
I’m six weeks away from my big wedding day, and I’m still trying to get my life together in the weight loss department. I’ve made great strides. I have lost 5% body fat and several inches. My clothes are fitting much better. I feel amazing, overall. But I still have a ways to go. To be truly reflective, one has to do a complete assessment of their performance. And if I am honest, I have to say that I could have done better since I last updated you all on my weight loss journey. For the most part, I was consistent. But there were days that I indulged and cheated. I would get bored and wouldn’t stick to my recommended meal plans. There were weeks where I didn’t quite meet my cardio goals and promised to make it up the following week. Sometimes, the makeup workouts didn’t happen because time slipped through my fingers due to other obligations. I think it’s safe to say that I have some commitment issues. Yeah, that’s it. But it is time to leave them behind.
So here’s the plan. My nutritionist and trainer has challenged me to follow her orders explicitly. This means following my meal plans and workouts to the “T” until February 18th – my bridal shower. This is going to be extremely tough. Today was day one, and I promise I daydreamed about every bad food that I could possibly eat. But I can do this. I will not give up. My motivation lies in the fact that I already know what happens when I halfway commit to my goals. I get half decent results. Let’s see what happens when I truly give it all I’ve got. Pray for me. Join me. If you are trying to lose a few pounds, set some new goals for yourself. I’d love some company. I’ll update you guys in two weeks. Until then, have a phenomenal and productive week.
